Start with The Starting Point.

Every journey with your dog starts somewhere. This is that first step. We will talk through what you are experiencing, what the process with me looks like, and what next steps make sense for your situation.

While I can not give you training specific advice without knowing more about your dog, I will try my best to give you some general guidance to get you started and help determine what the next steps are.

If things are straightforward, we can map out a path forward right on the call. If your dog's case is more complex, I will usually recommend a full Deep Dive consultation so I have the complete picture before we move into any hands-on work.

This is also just a chance for us to get a feel for each other before committing to anything.

What we cover
  • What you are seeing with your dog and what is driving it
  • What working with me looks like and whether it is a good fit
  • General guidance to get you started right away
  • Which service or next step makes sense for your situation
  • A chance for us to connect before either of us commits to anything
Heads up: depending on your dog's situation, a full Deep Dive consultation may still be needed before we move into any in-person work. The Starting Point helps us figure that out together.

Why is a consult recommended?

Behavior is not just what you see in a short clip. It is influenced by history, environment, learning, health, and patterns over time.

  • Gather a detailed history
  • Review behavior patterns and context
  • Identify safety concerns
  • Build a plan that fits your situation

Skipping this step is not just ineffective. It is a liability for you, your dog, and me as a professional.

Why virtual?

Virtual gives me access to what an in-person session often cannot.

  • Your dog in their normal environment
  • Video review and real-life examples
  • Deeper, uninterrupted conversation
  • More flexibility in scheduling

The Deep Dive gives me the complete picture before we move into any hands-on work.

Yes. The Deep Dive is always virtual, and many clients work with me fully virtually long term through the monthly virtual coaching option. Virtual support is considered equally effective and is often less stressful for dogs.
Every dog is different. Some clients need more time in active support while others progress more quickly. We make that decision together based on your dog's needs and your goals. There is no rush and no pressure to move faster than makes sense.
No. While The Deep Dive provides clarity and concrete next steps, meaningful behavior change typically requires ongoing support and consistency over time. It is the starting point, not the finish line.
Yes. The 3 session package must be used within 90 days and the 5 session package within 120 days of purchase. This keeps momentum and ensures progress does not stall between sessions.
